Meet Bubby, Our Dog Of The Week.
Meet Bubby, a 1½-year-old Pit Bull mix with only three legs—and a heart that's even bigger than his smile.
Before coming to our shelter, Bubby endured an unimaginable tragedy. He lost one of his legs after being thrown from a balcony. Most dogs would have every reason to give up... but not Bubby.
Having only three legs doesn't define Bubby—it just makes him even more inspiring. He runs, plays, zooms around the yard, and enjoys life just like any other dog. The only difference is that he may appreciate a few extra breaks during long walks or playtime. His missing leg has never stopped him from being happy, affectionate, or full of love.
If you've ever wondered whether a three-legged dog can live a full, active life, Bubby is living proof that they absolutely can.
This sweet boy loves just about everyone he meets. His favorite things include giving hugs, soaking up cuddles, and climbing right into your lap as if he doesn't realize how big he is! He's the kind of dog who wins hearts everywhere he goes.
A few things to know about Bubby:
• Dog selective, so a meet-and-greet is required with any resident dogs.
• His compatibility with cats is unknown, but we're happy to cat test him upon request.
Dog of the Week Special!
For this week only, Bubby's adoption fee is 10% OFF!
Bubby has already overcome more than any dog ever should. Now all he needs is a family willing to look past the fact that he has three legs and see the incredible, loving companion waiting underneath. We promise—you won't be missing out on anything except one leg.
